Everything is left glass of security (armored glasses)

Security glass is an armored glass which help to protect it.

Laminated glass is a type from glass of security that maintains together the fragments when broken. It is composed by two or more plates from glass, which are joined by one or more intermediary polyvinyl layers butiral (PVB) or resin. When broken, the fragments are imprisoned in this intermediary coamada. This characteristic produces effect of a "cob-web" when the impact is not totally sufficient to perforate the glass [1]. Quando quebrado, os estilhaços ficam presos nesta coamada intermediária. Esta característica produz efeito de uma “teia de aranha” quando o impacto não é totalmente suficiente para furar o vidro[1].

The laminated glass was invented in 1903 by the French chemist Edouard Benedictus, inspired by an accident in his laboratory. A glass bottle with a plastic revetment fell and broke but his fragments if mativeram joined. The first generalized use from laminated glass was in the gas masks during the First World war. A primeira utilização generalizada de vidro laminado foi nas máscaras de gás durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial.

It is normally used when there is a possibility of human impact, I eat in motorcars windshields; where does bigger security want to have been, as in windows and shop windows; or where cannot the broken glass fall, as in skylights and handrails. ou onde não pode cair o vidro quebrado, como em clarabóias e corrimãos.

Polyvinyl butiral is a plastic and elastic film applied between the plates from glass. Transparent, colorful and printed films are available in the market. It is in this film that the glass fragments are imprisoned in case of break. Thanks to this layer, the laminated glass has a better soundproofing, due to the effect deadening between the glass plates, and also it blockades 99 % of the rays transmitted UV.

Laminated glass is also for times used in glass sculptures.
